PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high voltage power supply diagnostic circuit for a photomultiplier capable of easily and surely diagnosing the state of a high voltage power supply by accurately detecting high voltage applied to a photomultiplier. SOLUTION: A voltage signal for inspection corresponding to high voltage -HV is detected by a voltage divider circuit for inspecting voltage 62 connected in parallel with a voltage divider circuit 60. After the voltage signal for inspection is corrected with an image signal detected by the photomultiplier 42 in a correction circuit 76, it is compared with a specified decision signal in a voltage inspection part 80 so as to diagnose the propriety of the high voltage -HV including the fault of the high voltage power source 58.
