PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive control program, an optical disk drive control system, a host computer, and an optical disk drive that can write data on optical disks using optimal writing setup values. SOLUTION: The host computer H realizes a recording quality test function to make the optical disk drive S write a plurality of data on an optical disk W, while changing the writing setup, such as the strategy and the laser power for each data by transmitting commands to an optical disk drive D by using a command transmitting function 24, to measure the recording quality information, such as jitters and error rates on each of a plurality of data, and to transmit the recording quality information to the host computer H.
