PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix substrate provided with preferred peripheral circuits which do not cause decrease in brightness of electro-luminescent elements and has a less occupied area. SOLUTION: This is an active matrix substrate provided with the peripheral circuits for supplying current to the EL elements arranged for each pixel correspondingly to the EL elements, and is provided with a holding element C for holding a control voltage, a 1st active element T1 for supplying current based on the control voltage connected to the holding element C to a light emitting part OLED, and a 2nd active element T2 for controlling charge/discharge of the holding element connected to the holding element C, and especially, the 2nd active element T2 is configured as an active element of a multiple control terminal type.
