PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector that is compact and engageable at a low place and hardly affected by unforeseen external forces. SOLUTION: The connector is equipped with a first and a second connector 10, 20 engageable with each other, and a holding member 30 to hold the first connector, the first connector having two kinds of guide-pins 13, 14, and the holding member having two kinds of guide-grooves 33, 34 corresponding to the guide-pins, which incline from the connector engaging direction. At approaching of the connector, one of the two kinds of guide-pins is moved along one of the guide-grooves of the holding member, and at engaging of the connectors themselves, the other of the guide-pins is moved along the other of the guide-grooves. In the initial state, the first connector is transiently held in the holding member, and the connector engaging surface of the second connector faces perpendicular to the connector engaging direction.
