PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sunlight collecting device capable of extending the time allowing substantially all the reflected light of sunlight to be radiated to an indoor ceiling as much as possible. SOLUTION: This sunlight collecting device is so constituted that a plurality of strip-like plates 12, 12 each having an upper surface side formed into a mirror surface for reflecting sunlight, and a lower surface side formed into a non-reflecting surface are vertically stacked through predetermined spaces P; and the indoor side end of each strip-like plate 12 is made rotatable around a sunlight entering side end of the strip-like plate 12 so as to radiate substantially all the sunlight reflected by its mirror surface 12a to the indoor ceiling. The sunlight collecting device is provided, at each sunlight entering side end of the strip-like plates 12, with a shading plate 16 for blocking the sunlight entering into a room by passing the space P without being reflected by the mirror surface 12a when the incident angle of the sunlight with respect to a horizontal plane is minimum in a collection time for collecting the sunlight and when each strip-like plate 12 is rotated so as to radiate the sunlight reflected by the entire surface of the mirror surface 12a to the indoor ceiling.
