PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm mechanism capable of preventing the occurrence of leaked light from a spot other than the effective diameter of a diaphragm without requiring configuration other than diaphragm blades for forming the effective diameter of the diaphragm when miniaturizing the diaphragm mechanism. SOLUTION: In the diaphragm mechanism having a plurality of diaphragm blades 1 and a means for preventing the leaked light from the spot other than the effective diameter of the diaphragm decided by the diaphragm blades, the means for preventing the leaked light is constituted to cover an area where the diaphragm blades are not superposed each other when they are stopped down by projections for preventing the leaked light 2 respectively provided on a plurality of diaphragm blades 1, and prevent the exposure from the area.
