PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent organic-inorganic complex, an optical device, and an etalon which allow the variation of optical path length suppressed. SOLUTION: The transparent organic-inorganic complex sufficiently transmits light for use in communication because being transparent. When the transparent organic-inorganic complex is used as an optical device like an etalon, characteristics of the optical device are stabilized under a temperature-variable environment because temperature dependency dS/dT of the optical path length of this complex is≤10×10<SP>-6</SP>/°C.
