PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material for photographing excellent in suitability to image reading with a scanner and in digital convertibility of image information, and giving a color print of high image quality, and to provide a color image forming method by which an excellent color image is formed using the same. SOLUTION: The silver halide color photographic sensitive material for photographing includes at least two each of red-, green- and blue-sensitive layers having the same color sensitivity and different from each other in sensitivity, and has a specified photographic speed of≥320. On a characteristic curve of each color image formed in the red-, green- and blue-sensitive layers after development, gradientγof each sensitive layer is 0.8-1.3, each gradient difference between sensitive layers is≤0.1, and each minimum transmission density is≤0.20.
