PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost and the number of man-hours in adjusting a liquid crystal display panel. SOLUTION: In the signal processing IC 17 inside a liquid crystal display device, an internal SG (signal generator) 1 capable of outputting a white signal as a white signal generating circuit and a switch 2 as a changeover means 2 which is made to perform the changeover of an external signal from an external signal source IC and a white signal from the internal SG 1 are prepared beforehand. Then, the switch 2 is controlled by an ADJ signal which is outputted from a microcomputer 35 so that the external signal is outputted in a normal mode and the internal signal SG is outputted in an adjustment mode. Moreover, in a liquid crystal driver 11, a black level generating circuit 3 as a black signal generating circuit and a switch 4 as a changeover means which is made to perform the changeover of the input signal of a liquid crystal driver 11 and a black signal from the black level signal generating circuit 3 are prepared beforehand.
