PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a disk type music box which is continuously adjustable in sound pressure and has no variation in frequency characteristic even when the sound pressure is adjusted and also has no deviation in operation timing of a damper for contact sound prevention even when the sound pressure is adjusted in the case that the damper is provided to guarantee normal operation. SOLUTION: Provided is a variable mechanism capable of adjusting the sound pressure of the music box. The variable mechanism adjust the depth of engagement between a pawl and a vibration valve 16a by moving vibration valve attached members 105 and 106 attached with the vibration valve and thus shifting the position of the tip of the vibration valve in a moving direction of the pawl 13a that a ratchet 13 has. A diaphragm fitted member is fitted to a base 2 and the abutment part between the diaphragm fitted member and base is constructed by an engagement between a projection and a recess forming a cylindrical surface, and the diaphragm fitted member rotates along the cylindrical surface to shift the position of the tip of the vibration valve in the moving direction of the pawl that the ratchet has.
