PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor capable of reducing the noise and improving the reliability of the compressor. SOLUTION: The hermetic compressor is internally provided with a compression element part compressing refrigerant gas in an airtight container 1 and an electric motor element driving the compression element part. A stator of the electric element part is made to be an articulated connecting core 3, and the outer peripheral shape of the articulated connecting core 3 is made to be a perfect circle shape having no notch. The mounting position of a muffler holder fixing the muffler to the airtight container is fixed to the place other than the position of the articulated connecting core 3 of the electric element part.
