The endovascular stent comprises a hollow tube having open ends and a sidewall with multiple apertures forming a primary structure (20), whereby said hollow tube can be deformed to position the hollow tube in a vessel. A secondary coating is provided on the primary structure (20) and a quantity of tacrolimus is located within the secondary coating (22).
