PURPOSE: A chucking device of a disk player and the disk player are provided to drive a slider at an interval of a rack member by a driving gear to carry out a chucking operation, while returning the slider by the driving gear to carry out an unchucking process, thereby stably performing the chucking operation. CONSTITUTION: A rack member(32) is disposed to be overlapped with a lower part of a slider(27). A lever(70) consists of a hanging fit pin(71) fitted to a hanging fit hole(30) of the slider(27) and a hanging fit hole(34) of the rack member(32). The first concave portion(35) and the second concave portion(36) are formed in the hanging fit hole(34) of the rack member(32). A position of the slider(27) is stably maintained as a driving position and an initial position by the hanging fit pin(71) of the lever(70).
