MICROFLUIDIC DEVICES AND METHODS OF USING SAME

A microfluidic device, with elastomeric components, and having a flow channel,

wherein said flow channel has a plurality of blind flow channels opening into
and in
fluid communication with the flow channel, each blind flow channel having an
aperture portion, a channel portion and a terminus portion, and wherein a
region at
the terminus of each blind flow channel defines a reaction site. Each blind
flow
channel is associated with a valve that when closed isolates the reaction site
from
the flow channel. The valves associated with each of the plurality of blind
flow
channels in fluid communication with the flow channel are under the control of
a
common control channel and are coordinately closed or opened.
