<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium having a substrate which has excellent transferability of a signal, excellent rigidity, and little warpage at the time when molding is performed, the optical information recording medium wherein the surface defect of the substrate caused when molding is performed is reduced, and the optical information recording medium using the substrate having small change of warpage when the substrate absorbs water and having excellent signal characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical information recording medium which has the substrate, a signal layer disposed on the substrate, and a light transmission layer layered on the signal layer and having ≤300 μm thickness and wherein a laser beam is made incident from the light transmission layer side to make it possible to perform write and read of recording and track pitch of a signal has ≤0.35 μm pitch, the substrate consists of a resin composition containing 0.01 to 40 pts.wt. specific biphenyl compound (e.g. p-benzylbiphenyl) to 100 pts.wt. aromatic polycarbonate having viscosity average molecular weight of 10,000 to 40,000. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
