<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit an RTS at full power and data at low power. <P>SOLUTION: If data are decided to be transmitted in a step S1, an RTS is transmitted at full power in a step S2. Whether a CTS permitting data transmission has been received or not is decided in a step S3. If not received, whether a CTS with a written address of another terminal station in an RA field has been received or not is decided in a step S4. If the CTS with the written address of the other terminal station is received, a transmit forbidden section is set and counted based on the duration field of the CTS in a step S5. If the CTS permitting the data transmission is received, the measurement result of the receiving level of the CTS is stored in a memory in a step S6, data fed from an PDA are transmitted at low power in a step S7 and an ACK signal is received in a step S8.
