<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Scotch-yoke engine in which a piston can be smoothly reciprocated relative to a cylinder. <P>SOLUTION: The Scotch yoke engine 1 is provided with four yoke-elements 11-14. Pistons 31-34 reciprocating relative to the cylinders are provided at the tip ends of the yoke elements. The 1st yoke element 11 and the 1st piston 31, and the 3rd yoke element 13 and the 3rd piston 33 are connected respectively by means of eccentric pins 41 to absorb displacement of the pistons 31-34 relative to the cylinders . <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
