BIOLOGICALLY DEODORIZING CARRIER, AND BIOLOGICAL DEODORIZATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biologically deodorizing carrier capable of keeping high deodorizing performance stably and a biological deodorization apparatus.

SOLUTION: This biologically deodorizing carrier consists of a porous body having≥0.2 m2/g specific surface area of the pores having 1μm to 2 mm pore size and 15-60% retentive rate of water. Welded tuff is used as the porous body. The porosity of the porous body is 50-90%. This biological deodorization apparatus is packed with a carrier to which a microbe is stuck or fixed. Any of the biologically deodorizing carriers is used as the carrier of the biological deodorization apparatus.
