PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the nonlinear distortion of a miniaturized electroacoustic transducer only by linear signal processing techniques. SOLUTION: A sound signal is converted into an electric signal by a microphone 1 of a hearing aid, converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter 2 and then inputted to a hearing sense correction filter 3 matched with characteristics of a hearing-impaired person who uses the hearing aid. The signal is applied to an adaptive phase variable filter 4 relating to the present invention. The adaptive phase variable filter is a filter that reduces a peak value of the signal with phase modification. After the peak value is reduced by the filter 4, the signal is converted into an analog signal by a D/A converter 5, inputted to a miniaturized earphone 6 and converted into a sound signal.
