PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retain a powder flowability even after a storage for a long period of time or in high temperature in a state as a powder or a pellet by preventing the migration of an oligomer component, a process oil, a stabilizing agent or the like to the surface and to suppress the material property degradation even after a storage or a heat aging of a powder-molded item and a compression-molded item. SOLUTION: This production process of a thermoplastic elastomer is used for powder molding or compression molding. To a blended material comprising at least a crystalline polypropylene resin component and an elastomer component, an organic peroxide which lowers the molecular weight of the crystalline polypropylene resin component is added. The mixture is subjected to melting or melting-kneading and then is solidified in the temperature range of not lower than 60°C and not higher than the crystallization temperature of polypropylene.
