FIBER RECINFORCED PLASTIC MOLDED PRODUCT AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a fiber reinforced plastic molded product characterized in that long fibers being a reinforcing material are present in the whole side surface of the protruded part of the molded product and no defect part occurs in the peripheral edge of the top part of the protruded part. SOLUTION: A prepreg obtained by impregnating long fibers with a thermosetting resin is arranged on the lower mold 1 of a mold comprising upper and lower molds and subjected to compression molding by closing the mold to manufacture the fiber reinforced plastic molded product having the planar top part and the protruded part. In this manufacturing method, the fabric prepreg 13 (prepreg) arranged to the side surface 5 of the protruded part of the lower mold 1 corresponding to the protruded part is arranged so that a part thereof rides on the top part 4 of the protruded part 3 of the lower mold 1.
