PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen storage tank capable of easily improving an airtight characteristic of an opening of a liner and facilitating filling of MH. SOLUTION: The hydrogen storage tank 11 has the liner 12 made of aluminum alloy, and a fiber reinforced resin layer 13 covering the surface of the liner 12. A plurality of units 15 for hydrogen storage having a heat exchange function are stored in the liner 12. The liner 12 has a cylindrical trunk 12a, and a dome 12b formed on both ends of the liner 12. The opening 16 capable of inserting the unit 15 for hydrogen storage is formed on one end side, and the opening 17 for a passage of hydrogen, which takes in and discharges hydrogen, is arranged at the other end side. The diameter of the opening 16 is set to be less than one half of the inner diameter of the trunk 12a of the liner 12. In the unit 15 for hydrogen storage, both ends of a heat medium pipe 18 of each unit 15 for hydrogen storage are arranged at one end side of the unit 15 for hydrogen storage, and the heat medium pipes 18 of all the unit 15 for hydrogen storage are connected in series by means of connection pipes 20.
