PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detecting device for an electric shutter having a reduced number of part items and low in cost. SOLUTION: The position detecting device for the electric shutter is formed of an input shaft 3a into which rotation from an electric motor for driving the electric shutter is inputted; a speed reducing section composed of a worm mechanism formed of a worm 3 and a worm wheel 4a, and a worm mechanism formed of a worm 4b and a worm wheel 6; first cams 8Ba, 10Ba integrally formed with upper limit position adjusting handle 8 and a lower limit position adjusting handle 10, respectively; second cams 11, 12 axially supported at tips of the upper limit position adjusting handle 8 and the lower limit position adjusting handle 10, respectively; and micro-switches 13, 14 for detecting the position of the shutter. Then the upper limit position adjusting handle 8 and the lower limit position adjusting handle 10 are mounted on both ends of an output shaft 5 of the speed reducing section via bushes 7, 9, respectively, in order to change mounting angles of the handles with respect to the shaft 5.
