PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste throw-in device into a melting furnace with the height of the radioactive waste throw-in device lower than before. SOLUTION: A carrying conveyor 3 for a waste throw-in container 2 is disposed below a melting furnace throw-in damper 4a. A chuck mechanism 7 of a transfer device is turnable and vertically movable, by which the container 2 is chucked and lifted from on the conveyor 3, and then turnedly moved to the upper side of the damper 4a to perform throwing-in into the furnace.
