PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve improvement in supporting strength of an auxiliary machine of an engine main body with a simple structure, without increasing the size of the engine. SOLUTION: The engine 1 is equipped with the engine main body 2 and a supporting means 37 for making the engine main body 2 support the auxiliary machine 36 for the engine 1 positioned near the outside of the engine main body 2. The engine main body 2 is equipped with a cylinder block 5 having a cylinder hole 4 formed therein, a bulk head 7 when the cylinder block 5 is seen in a vertical attitude with the axis 3 of the cylinder hole 4 matching a vertical line, and an oil pan 10 fixed on the underside of the cylinder block 5. The cylinder block 5 and the oil pan 10 straddle over the bulk head 7 and support the auxiliary machine 36 by its both ends. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
