PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garage gate which does not require an extra space on a garage side, requires only a compact operating space without protruding the gate to a road, enhances the degree of freedom of the gate operating space, holds a gate operating location at a high altitude so as to eliminate a possibility of contact between the gate and a vehicle, has a compact form as a whole and a simplified appearance, and is relatively low in cost. SOLUTION: The garage gate 1 is constructed by connecting a flip-up gate 4 to right and left post blocks 42, 42 capable of being lifted along the same. Each post block consists of a fixed post 2 and a movable post 3 capable of being lifted along the fixed post 2. The garage gate is comprised of a driving means 5 for driving the movable posts 3 and the gate 4 upward, and the gate rotating means 7 for rotating the gate 4 after arrival of the movable posts 3 at upper limit locations, toward the garage side N without protruding the same toward the road M.
