PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic brake device reducing change in vehicle deceleration when transferring to a normal braking by braking operation during automatic brake control and securing braking force equivalent to the normal braking even if the automatic brake control is not stopped. SOLUTION: The hydraulic brake device where the hydraulic pressure generated in a hydraulic pressure source 5 is regulated into a value according to the braking operation amount by a pressure regulating valve 3 and is output to a wheel cylinder, includes a hydraulic pressure supply passage 20 supplying the output hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic pressure source 5 reduced by a first proportional solenoid valve 21, a second proportional solenoid valve 22 reducing the hydraulic pressure supplied from this hydraulic pressure supply passage 20, and a check valve 23 arranged in parallel with this second proportional solenoid valve 22. Hydraulic pressure control in the automatic brake control is executed by the first and second proportional solenoid valves 21, 22, and when a brake pedal 1 is operated during the automatic brake control and the output hydraulic pressure of the pressure regulating valve 3 exceeds the hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic pressure supply passage 20 by the automatic brake control, the output hydraulic pressure of the pressure regulating valve 3 is made to flow on the side of the hydraulic pressure supply passage 20 through the check valve 23.
