PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily installable safety mat for an amusement with a high cushioning effect even with a reduced thickness, excellent in the shock absorbency. SOLUTION: The safety mat is compression-formed by adding a binder to a plurality of fragments of vulcanized rubber. A plurality of tubular holes, extending in the horizontal direction of the safety mat and piercing the safety mat, are disposed in the safety mat, and as the holes cross each other like grids, a high shock absorbency is obtained, and a sufficient cushioning force can be obtained even with reduced the thickness of the safety mat. Accordingly, the safety mat can be thinned and lightweight to be installed in a place where an amusement is set or around the amusement in a park, etc., to facilitate installation.
