A multi-pole connection cable designed as a flat flexible cable (1) has several adjacent conductor paths (2) and has a plug on at least one cable end. The conductor paths (2) are electrically in contact with contact surfaces of the plug at the cable end. The width of the contact surfaces and/or the spacing of the adjacent contact surfaces as well as being matched, has the width of the conductor paths (2) and/or the spacing (4) of adjacent conductor paths (2) made different. An independent claim is included for a plug with several contact surfaces.
