A deodorant antibacterial powder preparation of 1 to 40 mum average particle diameter produced by hydrating calcium oxide obtained by firing seashells; a deodorant antibacterial powder preparation comprising 5 to 95 mass% of the above powder and 95 to 5 mass% of tea powder or powder of used tea leaves having an average particle diameter of 1 to 40 mum; or a deodorant antibacterial powder preparation comprising 5 to 95 mass% of calcium hydroxide powder of 1 to 40 mum average particle diameter and 95 to 5 mass% of tea powder or powder of used tea leaves having an average particle diameter of 1 to 40 mum. These deodorant antibacterial powder preparations can exert striking deodorant antibacterial effects against various odors and bacteria and can find advantageous application in a wide spectrum of fields.
