PURPOSE: A torque increasing device of a vehicle for sudden acceleration is provided to quickly increase torque of an engine, to reduce shock of the engine and a power transmission system, and to prevent the deterioration of fuel efficiency by reducing back pressure by discharging directly some of the exhaust gas without passing through a muffler. CONSTITUTION: A torque increasing device of a vehicle for sudden acceleration is composed of an exhaust pipe(2) for discharging the exhaust gas burned in an engine to the air; a muffler(4) installed at the exhaust pipe to damp exhaust noise with back pressure; a bypass pipe(6) connected with the exhaust pipe to guide the exhaust gas through the muffler; and a valve device(10) for opening and closing selectively the bypass pipe to reduce the output loss of the engine caused by the back pressure in a sudden acceleration.
