LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT HAVING THE SAME, PARTICULARLY REGARDING TO OBTAINING IMAGE DISPLAY WITHOUT FEELING OF ROUGHNESS WHILE SIMPLIFYING STRUCTURE

摘要

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and an electronic equipment having the same are provided to realize clear image display without feeling of roughness by fixing disclination and simplify a structure. CONSTITUTION: An array substrate(10) has a plurality of pixel electrodes(11) arranged in matrix shape. An opposite substrate(20) has a conductive shield film(21) having openings(21a) at positions opposite to the pixel electrodes. A liquid crystal layer(30) is formed between the array substrate and the opposite substrate. The liquid crystal layer is formed of liquid crystal of which dielectric anisotropy is negative, wherein initial alignment is vertical alignment. The liquid crystal is controlled in alignment by an electric field formed between the pixel electrodes and the shield film.
