PURPOSE: A home automation apparatus is provided to enable a user to confirm an image of a visitor in real time through a pre-registered e-mail when the user is absent from home. CONSTITUTION: An outdoor terminal(10) comprises as follows. A function setup unit(25) inputs an e-mail address, and sets a leave mode when a user goes out. A coding unit(22) encodes a visitor image signal transmitted from the outdoor terminal(10) into a digital image signal when being supplied with an encoding command signal. A data storage(23) stores the encoded digital image signal by file. A signal sensor(21) senses a calling signal of the visitor transmitted from the outdoor terminal(10), and supplies the image signal of the visitor to the coding unit(22). A main controller(26) supplies the encoding command signal to the coding unit(22) when sensing the visitor's call, and generates a transmission control signal for transmitting the digital image signal to the e-mail address. A data transceiver(27) transmits the digital image signal.
