PURPOSE: Provided is a method for detecting fuel leakage from a fuel cell, which uses an odorizing agent added to a fuel source to detect the fuel leakage with ease without using conventional sulfur-based methods, thereby solving the problems of high cost, complicity and increase in weight and volume. CONSTITUTION: The method for detecting fuel leakage from a fuel cell(100) comprises the step of adding an organic molecule to a fuel source for the fuel cell so as to impart odor to the fuel source. The organic molecule includes preferably aromatic compounds such as aldehydes, ketones, esters and pyrazines. The organic molecule includes a compound having low odor threshold selected from the group consisting of butyl acetate, ethyl butyrate, methyl butyrate and ethyl 2-methyl butyrate. |
