PURPOSE: A driving circuit for a flat display device is provided to minimize the number of devices and the size of the integrated circuit by directly transmitting 1 bit data from the frame memory to the SR latch array. CONSTITUTION: A circuit for driving a flat display device includes a frame memory(1), a counter(5), a plurality of comparators(401-40k), a plurality of latch array(201-20k) and a modulator(3). The frame memory(1) stores the data. The counter(5) counts the clock signals and outputs the counted data. The plurality of comparators(401-40k) compares the outputs of the frame memory(1) with the outputs of the counter(5). The plurality of latch array(201-20k) temporally stores the outputs of the comparator(401-40k). And, the modulator(3) converts the data of the latch arrays(201-20k) to one of the analog driving voltage and the driving current corresponding to the gray level.
