PURPOSE: A cylinder-opening and closing rotary engine is provided to prevent a wear of a rotor and an outer wall of a cylinder by turning the rotor along a perfect circular orbit and to increase fuel efficiency by aiding rotation of a rotor by an internal exhaust port. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder-opening and closing rotary engine is composed of a compression/explosion projected unit(1) for executing compression and explosion steps by the opening and closing of an intake/compression valve(35) at the same time as rotation of a rotor; the intake/compression valve for regulating the compression and explosion steps by movement of the compression/explosion projected unit and the opening and closing of the valve; an intake/exhaust projected unit(7) for performing intake and exhaust steps by the opening and closing of an explosion/exhaust valve(36) at the same time as rotation of the rotor; the explosion/exhaust valve for regulating the flow of mixed gas from a compression unit to an explosion unit while opening and closing a fuel position-switching groove by the opening and closing of the valve and for adjusting explosion and exhaust steps by movement of the compression/explosion projected unit and the opening and closing of the valve; an intake pipe for injecting the mixed gas compressed by receiving centrifugal force by the rotation of the rotor; an internal exhaust port(16) for aiding the rotation of the rotor with eruptive force of the exhaust gas; an orbit cam for regulating the explosion of the intake/compression valve and the opening and closing of the explosion/exhaust valve; a fuel position-switching pipe being a passage for flowing the mixed gas to the explosion unit; an exhaust chamber for connecting the internal exhaust port with an external exhaust port; and an intake chamber for connecting an internal intake port(15) and an external intake port.
