PURPOSE: A redispersion powder having plasticizing properties, which is stabilized by polyvinyl alcohol is provided to improve the fluidity of construction compounds. CONSTITUTION: The redispersion powder having plasticizing properties, stabilized by polyvinyl alcohol is produced by, in the presence of a copolymer, drying an aqueous dispersion of a homopolymer or a copolymer of monomers, wherein the dispersion is stabilized by polyvinyl alcohol, wherein the monomers are at least one selected from vinyl esters of linear or branched alkyl carboxylic acids having C1-18, (meth)acryl esters of linear or branched alcohols having C1-15, dienes, olefins, vinyl aromatic compounds and vinyl halides, wherein the copolymer used in the drying process comprises: (a) at least one monomer selected from ethylene unsaturated mono- or di-carboxylic acids having C4-8, and anhydrides and salts thereof; (b) at least one species of ethylene unsaturated compounds containing sulfonic acid, sulfuric acid and phosphonic acid group, or salts thereof; (c) at least one species of monomer selected from vinyl esters of linear or branched alkyl carboxylic acids having C1-18, (meth)acryl esters of linear or branched alcohols having C1-15.
