The mower has work units (5, 6) to cut a product, and a linking device (11) linking the work units to a traction unit (2) to permit transversal displacement of the units with respect to a forward direction (3) of the mower during operation. A control device (20) controls a hydraulic jack (18) according to the rolling angle of the mower so as to maintain an optimum value of overcut (19). The hydraulic jack produces transversal displacement of the work units.
