The closure (1) has a push rod (4) including a cam (12) and a counter cam (13) sliding with respect to one another while rotating the rod around a longitudinal axis. The cam (12) is rotated in one direction with respect to the counter cam for moving the closure from its opening configuration to sealing configuration. The rotation of the cam compresses a sleeve (7) between two annular surfaces (6, 9). An independent claim is also included for a method of assembling a seal closure.
