PURPOSE: A system for a bidirectional effect sound transmission service in the middle of a telephone conversation, and a method thereof are provided to express an intention through effect sounds, thereby expressing various feelings in a telephone conversation. CONSTITUTION: An effect sound service apparatus(200) includes an effect sound server(210) and a DB(Database) server(220). The DB server(220) stores a plurality of effect sound source files corresponding to each effect sound source code, manages effect sound source code information by abbreviated numbers set by subscribers. The effect sound server(210) is connected with mobile switching centers(30,31) and data core networks(60,61) to detect DTMF(Dual Tone Multi Frequency) signals transmitted through the mobile switching centers(30,31), and then to query an effect sound source to the DB server(220) and transmit an effect sound according to the effect sound source code information. A home location register(40) manages subscriber effect sound service information, and provides routing information for connecting a call to the effect sound server(210) to the originating mobile switching center(30). The originating-side mobile switching center(30) sets up a speech path with the receiving-side mobile switching center(31) through the effect sound server(210) to connect the call. |
