PURPOSE: A structure for arranging an evaporator of a direct type electric refrigerator is provided to reduce temperature variation in a cooling space, thereby improving the freshness of stored foods. CONSTITUTION: An evaporator executes heat exchange by contacting a refrigerant pipe line(10) with a cooling space. A compressor is connected with the evaporator for compressing gas refrigerant of low temperature and low pressure. A condenser is connected with the compressor for condensing gas refrigerant of high temperature and high pressure. An expansion valve is connected with the condenser for expanding the liquid refrigerant to be supplied to the evaporator. The refrigerant pipe line forming the evaporator is arranged in a horizontal direction to let the refrigerant flowed from an upper inlet pipe proceed to a lower part through the refrigerant pipe line.
