PURPOSE: A catalyst powder, a catalyst electrode and an electrochemical device are provided to improve output properties by enlarging the area density of a catalyst, without increase in the thickness of the catalyst layer, thereby reducing the internal resistance of the electrode and preventing voltage drop. CONSTITUTION: The catalyst powder(1) used in an electrode is formed by supporting a catalyst material comprised of at least a catalyst(3) to a conductive powder(2), wherein the ratio of the catalyst material to catalyst powder is 55-75wt%, and the area density of the catalyst material is 1-3mg/cm2. The catalyst electrode comprises the above-mentioned catalyst powder and a solid polymer electrolyte. The electrochemical device comprises at least two electrodes and an ion conductor inserted between the two electrodes, wherein at least one of the electrodes is the above-mentioned electrode. |
