PURPOSE: A mold for forming a plate is provided to reduce manufacturing cost by reducing the weight of the mold. CONSTITUTION: A mold(1) for forming a plate is composed of a first outer frame(3) having a stepped portion and a mounting space, a glass plate(4) installed at the stepped portion, a second outer frame(2), and a shock absorbing unit. The second outer frame is fixed to the first outer frame by a bolt, and prevents the separation of the glass plate. The second outer frame includes a bracket coupled to an upper mold. The shock absorbing unit is interposed between the stepped protrusion and the glass plate. The glass plate is made of tempered glass, bulletproof glass or compressed glass, and is more than 6mm in thickness. The shock absorbing unit is made of heat-resistant teflon material.
