PURPOSE: A nano iron oxide fiber is provided which maximizes efficacy of fiber, and which is manufactured economically and easily mass-produced by maintaining size of the powdered iron oxide to nano size when manufacturing powdered iron oxide into fiber, and a manufacturing method of the nano iron oxide fiber is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a step of dispersing the iron powder into the dispersion by adding nano size iron powder to a dispersion such as distilled water; a step of reacting the iron powder with acetic acid at low temperature after adding about 1 to 2 ml of acetic acid (CH3COOH) as an additive for 1000 ml of water to a solution into which the iron powder is dispersed; a step of filtering and drying a precipitant obtained above step; and a step of heat treating the dried powder in an electric furnace, wherein 1 to 2 weight parts of the nano size iron powder is added to 1000 weight parts of the dispersion, wherein the precipitation reaction is performed at a temperature of 40 to 60 deg.C, and wherein the heat treatment is performed at a temperature of 200 to 400 deg.C.
