PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To administer, control, and easily change at a center device side, an item number, item type, item title or other execution results of an application program displayed by the application program in a table or list for referring recording data. SOLUTION: The data processing system comprises a center device (11) and a plurality of terminal devices (15). The center device has a means (13) for inputting defining data for defining variable parameter data referred by the application program to be executed in the terminal devices, according to a predetermined display format, and a means (19) for converting it into parameter data. The terminal devices each comprises a means (20) for reading the parameter table, an execution means (20) for referring the parameter data in the table and executing the application program, and a display means (16) for displaying the execution result in a predetermined format.
