PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a see-through material capable of forming a pattern printing layer by a gravure printing method not receiving the limits in productivity and patterns without always needing the masking property of ink. SOLUTION: As for the see-through material, an alkali-treatment (pasta working) is applied on a printing base material constituted by successively arranging a 1st pattern printing layer constituted of alkali-soluble ink, an aluminum evaporation layer and a 2nd pattern printing layer with a pattern of a solid combination by using alkali-resistant ink, but, missing a regular-arranged dot pattern as a see-through part on a transparent base material, and then, only the parts corresponding to the dot pattern of the aluminum evaporation layer and the 1st pattern printing layer constituted of the alkali-soluble ink as the part functioning as the see-through part with reference to the transparent base material are released and removed, then, the optical characteristics of the front side is made differ from that of the rear side.
