PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for varying optical frequency linear chirp using a dielectric multilayer mirror that needs no optical axis alignment for each change of chirp quantity. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with: two dielectric multilayer mirrors 2, 2 in which dielectric multilayer film faces 2a are arrayed opposite and parallel to each other; and a movable mirror 4 which is arranged in a space 3 between the dielectric multilayer mirrors 2, 2. The movable mirror 4 reflects incident light 5 which obliquely enters from one end of the space 3 between the two dielectric multilayer mirrors 2, 2 and is reflected more than once, in the direction parallel to the dielectric multilayer mirror face 2, within the incident plane 7 determined by the surface normal 6 of the incident light 5 and the dielectric multilayer mirror 2, and in the direction of one end 3a. The movable mirror 4 is movable in parallel to the dielectric multilayer mirror face 2a and in the direction within the incident plane 7.
