PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter which facilitates adaptation to multiple functions of a video processor, and the processor and a system for video processing. SOLUTION: The video processing system 1 is equipped with a projector 3 which performs video processing and the adapter 2 which is freely attachable to and detachable from the projector 3. The adapter 2 is equipped with an input part 4 which inputs a 1st video signal, an output part 5 which outputs the 1st video signal, and a 1st program storage part 8 which stores a 1st video processing program 10 for making the projector 3 perform video processing with the 1st video signal. The projector 3 is equipped with an input part 17 which inputs a 2nd video signal different from the 1st video signal, a 2nd program storage part 20 storing a 2nd video processing program 21 making the projector 3 perform video processing with the 2nd video signal, and an update part 34 which updates the 2nd video processing program 21 into the 1st video processing program 10.
