PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a sufficiently satisfactory color display in a reflective display using the electrochromic material and to make expression of a black color, a second color with low reflection density (for example, a white color) and a third color, compatible with one another by using an electrochromic material. SOLUTION: In the color rewritable display device, at least one out of a pigment particle, a dye and a partition constituting an electrophoresis display part is composed of the electrochromic material which is reversibly colored or decolored on voltage application.
