PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the vibration having relatively large amplitude, assuming an earthquake or the like, by securing a sufficient stroke of a shaking table in an approximately horizontal direction. SOLUTION: The vibration testing machine 1 has: a first shaking table 3 freely moving in the approximately vertical direction; an exciter 4 disposed inside the testing machine main body 2 and for exciting the first shaking table 3 in the approximately vertical direction, in which the first shaking table 3 and the exciter 4 are freely tilted so that the first shaking table 3 is selectively excited in the approximately vertical direction and the approximately horizontal direction; and a second shaking table 6, freely moving in the approximately horizontal direction and coupled to the first shaking table 3 in a horizontally excited state permitting the first shaking table 3 to be excited in the approximately horizontal direction. The energizing of the second shaking table 6 to the side of the first shaking table 3 and the binding of the second shaking table 6 in the approximately horizontal direction are performed by the elastic force of a fluid.
